The goal and mission of Refugee Sisters* is to provide specialized counseling, accompaniment, support and empowerment to lesbian, bisexual and queer women* as well as trans* and inter* individuals who have come to Hamburg as refugees.
Refugee Sisters* aims to connect people with the resources and information they need to realize their short- and long-term goals after arriving in Hamburg.

Counselling
Refugee Sisters* accompanies people before, during and after the asylum process.
Counseling at Refugee Sisters* is free of charge. Counseling is confidential and can be anonymous if desired.
Individual counseling takes place in a safer* space with a queer psychologist. Counselling in English, German, Spanish and French is always available, for additional languages LGBTQI* community translators can be arranged.
The duration of counselling is individual and is based on the wishes and needs of each client.

Mondays, Tuesdays & Fridays: 10:00-18:00.
Wednesdays & Thursdays: 15:00-18:00
Community
In addition to specialized counseling, Refugee Sisters* offers networking opportunities and community meetings.
Participants have the opportunity to participate in community activities digitally and in person:
- Participation in a multilingual Telegram group for networking and exchange with other queer women*, inter*, trans*, and non-binary people with and without asylum system experience,
- Participation in twice-monthly community meetings in a safer* space; opportunities to co-create, share ideas, talk, and, to plan and implement community activities,
- Participation in (and if desired, planning and organizing) community activities several times a year.
